Gechi is a mobile application that helps you use Twitter using simple text messages.

This application is created and owned by a group of NIT and IIM alumni.

The promoters came with this idea when they figured that tweeting is heavily dependent on computers and mobile phones with Internet / GPRS connectivity. They then worked to develop a service which is based on a simple logic - to enable TWITTER account holders to tweet (receive & send) messages via SMS from their mobile phones.

After you have registered with Gechi you don’t need any GPRS or Internet service on your mobile phone, all you need is SMS service. With the help of Gechi you can get all your tweets via your sms.

To reply to the tweets you can press the reply in your cell phone, after this just type in the message and send it to 9246643244(92gongechi). The update is posted to your twitter dashboard.

To use the service offered by Gechi.in, user needs both Gechi & Twitter accounts. Small personal information including your name, address, email ID, and mobile number is required to create your account.
